During this International book forum (May 30 – June 3, 2018) “Tkuma” Institute research associates took part in organization and conduction of various important public events.

On May 22, 2018, Museum of Ukrainian Painting (Dnipro) donated graphic works of masters - members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine - to the Holocaust Museum, among them gravure by G.P. Polevoi "Remember the crimes of fascism" (1961) from the series "Against the madness of the war" and work by F.М. Klimenko "Buchenwald" (1984) from the series "Nabat of the century". The paintings will find their place in the collections of our Museum.

On May 16, 2018 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” Library received a valuable gift from the Honorary Consulate of Lithuania in the Dnipro - complete collection of works by an outstanding Lithuanian writer, winner of numerous literary awards Grigory Kanovich. Kanovich writes about the fate of the Jewish people, about his relationship with Lithuanian and Russian cultures. His works are translated into twelve languages (English, German, Hebrew, Polish, Hungarian and others) and are published in circulation of more than a million copies.

On May 07, 2018, Efraim Halevy, legendary leader of the Mossad in 1998–2002 (worked in this organization since 1961), visited “Menorah” Center and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The guided tour through the exhibition was conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak and Dr. Denys Shatalov, who shared interesting facts about the history of the Jews of Ukraine and the well-known events of our days.

On May 07, 2018, “Menorah” Center hosted special events, dedicated to the anniversary of the end of World War II and the victory over Nazi Germany. Celebrations in honor of World War II veterans were organized by charitable fund “Hesed Menachem” under the support of “Joint”.
