PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

October 26, 2018 Kyiv hosted Museum Marathon, dedicated to the Righteous among the Nations and other rescuers of the Jews during the Holocaust. The project was organized by the National Museum of History of Ukraine in World War II in cooperation with Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies.

Museum of History of Ukraine in World War II created the exhibition “The Righteous Path: Ukrainians Rescuers” and invited the children and grandchildren of the Ukrainian Righteous, history teachers and students, scholars and journalists. In particular, the meeting was joined by Larysa Shulezhko from Cherkasy – the daughter of the Righteous Oleksandra Shulezhko.

Due to the support of “Tkuma” Institute, the Holocaust Museum and Yad Vashem joint project, Kyiv’s colleagues received scholarly and educational literature on the history of the Second World War and the Holocaust; Dr. Igor Shchupak presented reports – “Ukrainian rescuers of the Jews during the Holocaust” and “The memory of Ukrainian Righteous Among the Nations in the museum space and on the pages of textbooks”.
