PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

"Tkuma" Institute has experience in organization and conduction of educational events for school and university students, school teachers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, regional institutes of advanced teacher training, "Tkuma" Institute organized special system of seminars for improvement of teachers' skills.

"Tkuma" Institute has unique experience in creating textbooks. School History textbooks created by "Tkuma" Institute won All-Ukrainian State Contests and were released in hundreds of thousands of copies.

"Tkuma" Institute effectively cooperates with regional office of Junior Academy of Sciences. On the base of "Tkuma" Institute winter and summer sessions of JAS are conducted. During this events school students have an opportunity to work with the Holocaust museum holdings, consult the Institute and Museum research associates and meet famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

On September 5, 2017 the Beit Chana International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute hosted round table “How to Teach American Humanities Scholars” with participation of Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern, Professor of Northwestern University (Chicago, USA) and Dr. Igor Shchupak, Director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum. Prof. Petrovsky-Shtern told participants about his own way in American humanitaristics, form doctorate to professorate at Northwestern University of the USA, which is one of the best American universities.

During August 22–27, 2017 Odesa region hosted youth summer forum, organized by “Hillel” International Jewish Student Organization. “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum traditionally took part in development and conduction of educational activities.

On August 28, 2017 Dnipro hosted methodological meeting for History teachers of Dnipro city that gathered more than 100 participants. Welcoming speech was made by Mykhailo Epik, methodologist of History and Law of Dnipro Methodological Center, and Serhii Svitlenko, Dean of the Faculty of History of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.

During July 29 – August 6, 2017 Wisła (Poland) hosted nternational Cultural and Educational Camp for Jewish Youth from Ukraine, organized by “Drzewo Oliwne” Foundation, “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.

In August 7-8, 2017 Krakow hosted international educational seminar for educators organized by “Tkuma” Institute in cooperation with Galicia Jewish Museum.
