"Tkuma" Institute has experience in organization and conduction of educational events for school and university students, school teachers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, regional institutes of advanced teacher training, "Tkuma" Institute organized special system of seminars for improvement of teachers' skills.
"Tkuma" Institute has unique experience in creating textbooks. School History textbooks created by "Tkuma" Institute won All-Ukrainian State Contests and were released in hundreds of thousands of copies.
"Tkuma" Institute effectively cooperates with regional office of Junior Academy of Sciences. On the base of "Tkuma" Institute winter and summer sessions of JAS are conducted. During this events school students have an opportunity to work with the Holocaust museum holdings, consult the Institute and Museum research associates and meet famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

On December 11, 2016 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” hosted winter session of consultations for participants of Dnipro department of Junior Academy of Sciences and the School of Young Researchers. Consultations for young researchers were conducted by lecturers of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. Along with the work of students the roundtable for history teachers, devoted to the reform of school system of education of Ukraine, was conducted. The event was moderated by Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum director.

On December 6, 2016 regular pedagogical seminar organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with Dnipro Regional Institute for Holocaust Studies was conducted. Teachers of Dnipro secondary schools became participants of the seminar. Program of the event included visit to Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” (guided tour was organized by Dr. Iegor Vradiy, Head of Museum and Research Department) and discussion on the reforms of school education system in Ukraine. Interactive lesson was conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak, Director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum.
During the communication with the teachers the most topical issues were raised:
- the essence of the education reform, the issues of teacher qualifications and competence of students;
- Ukrainian vision of world history and significance of history for the present;
- cleaning of domestic history from the Soviet and modern Russian myths and falsifications: from the Middle Ages to World War Two and the Holocaust;
- analysis of teachers’ methodological mistakes;
- presentation of new editions by Prof. P-R. Magocsi and Prof. Y. Petrovsky-Shtern “Jews and Ukrainians: A Millennium of Co-Existence” and “Babyn Yar”, edited by Prof. P-R. Magocsi and Prof. V. Hrynevych.
At the end of the seminar Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Educational Programs Coordinator, conducted practical training on the use of visual sources during the history lessons.

During November 23-24, 2016 Nizhyn hosted several educational events conducted by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” together with local partners. Iryna Piskariova and Maryna Strilchuk, “Tkuma” Institute educators, held educational mobile exhibition dedicated to the Babyn Yar tragedy and heroism of Righteous Among the Nations. Classes were held for schoolchildren of Nizhyn Regional Pedagogical Lyceum of Chernihiv Regional Council and Nizhyn Lyceum of City Council. During the classes Iryna Piskariova told the pupils about the fate of her grandfather during the Second World War and drew attention to the importance of studying the topic of war through the history of family.

In November 24, 2016 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” hosted museum lesson for pupils of the 6th grade of Dnipro school #78. School pupils participated in the museum lesson dedicated to the Holodomor Remembrance Day. The lesson was conducted near recently opened exhibition “The Holodomor 1932–1933” by Valentyn Rybalka, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Research Associate.

On November 22, 2016 Valentyn Rybalka, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies Research Associate, conducted special lesson for 9 form pupils of secondary school #29 (Dnipro). The lesson was dedicated to the Holocaust in comparative context with the special attention to the Holodomor victims. What is genocide? What were the reasons of the beginning of the Holodomor in 1932? Was there Holodomor in national districts of Ukraine? These and other issues were in the focus of the event.
The session included presentation of mobile educational exhibition dedicated to Holodomor of 1932-33 and the Holocaust in Dnipro.
