PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

"Tkuma" Institute has experience in organization and conduction of educational events for school and university students, school teachers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, regional institutes of advanced teacher training, "Tkuma" Institute organized special system of seminars for improvement of teachers' skills.

"Tkuma" Institute has unique experience in creating textbooks. School History textbooks created by "Tkuma" Institute won All-Ukrainian State Contests and were released in hundreds of thousands of copies.

"Tkuma" Institute effectively cooperates with regional office of Junior Academy of Sciences. On the base of "Tkuma" Institute winter and summer sessions of JAS are conducted. During this events school students have an opportunity to work with the Holocaust museum holdings, consult the Institute and Museum research associates and meet famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

The 9th International Inter-religious Youth Seminar “The Ark” is over. The event was organized on July 19 – 29 and involved 36 participants. Traditionally, representatives of different nationalities (Ukrainians, Poles and Jews) from Ukraine became the participants, but this year Crimean Tatar youth was invited as well.

The main part of the seminar program took place at the Center for Peace and Reunification of the Parish of the Roman Catholic Church of the Visitation of Elisabeth by the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bilshivtsi (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast).

Regular International Inter-religious Youth Seminar for Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish students “Ark 2013” was held in Bilshivtsi village (Ivano-Frankivsk region) on June 30 – July 7. The seminar was organized by: The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, The Federation of Polish organizations in Ukraine, “Tkuma” (“Revival”) Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Lviv City Palace of Culture named after Khotkevych. The project is implemented with the support of Foundation “Pomoc Polakom na Wschodzie”, The Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany “Claims Conference”, The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee “Joint” and The Dutch Jewish Humanitarian Fund “Dutch Fund”. 

International Youth Forum “The Ark – 2012” has recently been finished. During these 9 days, from 2 till 10 of July, the participants got acquainted, were having fun, got new knowledge and enriched their intelligence.This year’s forum was held in the Franciscan Monastery, in the village Bilshivtsi, Galician district. The youth of three nationalities met there - Ukrainians, Poles and Jews.The event took place due to the assistance of “Tkuma” Aall-Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with the Consulate General of Poland in Lviv, Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Federation of Polish organizations in Ukraine, Ukrainian Catholic University (Lviv). Among the participants of the seminar there were Yaroslav Drozd, the Consul General of Poland in Lviv; Nadiya Kytsela, district administration chief of staff; Myroslav Marynovych, Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University; Semen Hluzman, former political prisoner; representatives of the Jewish community, the clergy.
