PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On November 3, 2016 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” and “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies welcomed senior school pupils from Stepivska and Ulyanivska schools (Mykolayiv region). Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Educational Programs Coordinator, organized debate session for pupils entitled “Memory of World War II and the Holocaust in My Family”.

During 2016 within “Tkuma” Institute project “Marathons of the Living” history teachers from all over Ukraine conducted commemorative lessons dedicated primarily to the 75th anniversary of Babyn Yar tragedy.

On November 1, 2016 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed pupils of 10th form of secondary school #17 from Pavlohrad. During the guided tour around the Museum special attention was paid to features of the spiritual world of Jewish people and differences between the fate of Jews in Western and Eastern Europe during the Holocaust.

On October 11, 2016 “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Research Programs Coordinator Iegor Vradii conducted several lessons dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy at secondary school #132 (Dnipro).

On August 5-15, 2016 in Warsaw (Poland) International Educational Summer Camp for Ukrainian Jewish Youth was conducted. The retreat was organized by “Drzewo Oliwne” Foundation, “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.
