PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On December 9, “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” were happy to meet a group of schoolchildren from Dnipro. Schoolchildren of Gymnasium № 3 visited our Institutions as part of an educational project, which is implemented with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program and will last until the end of the year.

On December 9, students from Zaporizhzhia Lyceum “Perspective” visited “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum. This visit was made possible by “Multicultural dialogue” program as part of the Kulturna Stolytsia program. Researcher Dr. Olena Ishchenko conducted a thematic museum lesson, which focused on the Holocaust, considering the specifics of the occupation regime in Ukraine, actions of extermination of Jews in cities (“Babyny Yars” of Ukraine), and other genocides, chronologically associated with World War II (genocide of Roma, deportation of the Crimean Tatar and other peoples of Crimea, etc.).

On December 9, “Tkuma” Institute organized a study visit of Dnipro schoolchildren – students of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine to Poltava.

On December 8-9, a group of schoolchildren from Kyiv (private educational institution "Bezmezh") visited “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine". This visit was the part of an educational project "Modern Dialogue in a Multicultural City" with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program, which will last until the end of 2021.

On December 2, students of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine visited Zaporizhzhia as part of the historical and local lore expedition “Multicultural dialogue in the modern Ukrainian city.” The event was held as a part of a comprehensive educational project implemented by “Tkuma” Institute, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program.
