PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On December 2, students of the Dnipropetrovsk branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine visited Zaporizhzhia as part of the historical and local lore expedition “Multicultural dialogue in the modern Ukrainian city.” The event was held as a part of a comprehensive educational project implemented by “Tkuma” Institute, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program.

On December 2, students of Secondary School No. 111 (Kryvyi Rih) arrived to “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The educational visit of schoolchildren to Dnipro took place within the framework of the project “Multicultural dialogue in the modern Ukrainian city”, which is implemented with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program.

On November 30, educational classes for Dnipro schoolchildren was held at “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. As part of a comprehensive training project, which is implemented with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program, schoolchildren of 10-11 grades of the school № 78 visited us. The students went on a thematic guided tour of the Holocaust Museum, conducted by Dr. Iryna Radchenko, head of the scientific department.

On November 25, a comprehensive two-day educational project was launched at “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, which is being implemented with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program. Students of 9-11 grades from Dobropillya, Donetsk region – winners of annual competitions of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, participants of regional and all-Ukrainian tournaments and Olympiads.

On September 29, an open lesson dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy was held at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of International Relations. Tenth-graders analyzed the causes of the Holocaust and the peculiarities of it in the occupied territory of the USSR. Lyceum director, history teacher Natalia Vlasova organized interactive work of students with the use of innovative educational technologies. The children searched for information on various platforms, prepared to participate in a project to collect evidence of oral history.
