On November 25, a comprehensive two-day educational project was launched at “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, which is being implemented with the support of the Kulturna Stolytsia program. Students of 9-11 grades from Dobropillya, Donetsk region – winners of annual competitions of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, participants of regional and all-Ukrainian tournaments and Olympiads.

On September 29, an open lesson dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy was held at the Dnipro Scientific Lyceum of International Relations. Tenth-graders analyzed the causes of the Holocaust and the peculiarities of it in the occupied territory of the USSR. Lyceum director, history teacher Natalia Vlasova organized interactive work of students with the use of innovative educational technologies. The children searched for information on various platforms, prepared to participate in a project to collect evidence of oral history.

On September 9, an educational class on the Holocaust history was held in Lviv, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. The event was organized by “Tkuma” Institute on the initiative of our partner, Deputy Director of the College Oksana Hryvnyak.

On May 23, “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” were glad to welcome students from Zaporizhzhia Specialized Boarding School of the 2nd-3rd grades. “Sich Collegium of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council”. Excursions to the Museum and Menorah Center were organized for our guests by researchers Dr. Olena Ishchenko, Valentyn Rybalka and Tetiana Selyutina. Head of Educational Programs at “Tkuma” Institute Iryna Piskariova, told students about the educational projects they can join – in particular, the annual creative works Contest for teachers, school and university students “Lessons of War and Holocaust – Lessons of Tolerance” (works will be accepted until July 15).

On April 8, on demand of history teacher Natalia Diordieva, “Tkuma” Institute organized an interactive online lesson on the Holocaust history for 10th grade students of Zaporizhzhia Multidisciplinary Lyceum № 99.
