PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

Aril 20-24, 2018, Vinnytsia hosted the 20th historical tournament for young historians, organized by Institute of Educational Content Modernization with participation of “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies.

Debates between the participating teams were held in the form of a free discussion, organized by traditional game rules. The subject of the topics was quite diverse: from the problems of the Middle Ages to issues relating to recent history. Students showed profound knowledge on World War II and the Holocaust history, considering the problem of rescuing Jews by Righteous among the Nations. Olena Ishchenko, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum research associate, joined the jury board. The atmosphere of mutual respect, tolerance, aspiration for honest victory dominated during the event. Teams from Mykolaiv and Rivne became winners of the tournament.
