PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On December 9-10, Chisinau (Moldova) hosted the conference “New perspectives of European cooperation in history education: invitation to joint development of educational programs and creation of educational media (Romania – Moldova – Ukraine)”. The focus was on the cooperation of historians from Romania, Moldova, Ukraine and other European countries in the field of education and textbook creation. Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to participate in the conference.

On November 24, a webinar of “Tkuma” Institute, dedicated to the issues of historical memory of the Holocaust and World War II was held. The online event “How Poles Preserve National Memory: A View from Oświęcim” was conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak.

On November 5, TSN aired the TV program “How to turn history into a weapon?” with the participation of Iryna Krasutska, editor-in-chief of the “Orion” Publishing House, history teacher Igor Krasutsky, and Dr. Igor Shchupak.

On October 26, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine held a “round table” in Kyiv dedicated to historical education and issues of cooperation in the field of textbook publishing. Among the participants of the meeting were scientists, authors of history textbooks, teachers and employees of the Ministry of Education and Science. Among them, in particular: Olena Burlaka, Dr. Ihor Hyrych, Prof. Yurii Zavalevskyi, Raisa Yevtushenko, Yuriy Kononenko, Iryna Krasutska, Prof. Tetiana Ladychenko, Iryna Rudenko and others. Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to participate in the discussion.

On September 28, the “historical webinar” of “Tkuma” Institute dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy took place. Speaker of the online event “Babyn Yar. the Holocaust Genocide" was presented by Dr. Igor Shchupak.

Among the topics discussed during the webinar:
