PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

During June 18-26, a seminar for Ukrainian educators was held at the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies (Jerusalem, Israel), organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies with the support of the project “Holocaust studies in Ukraine for the formation the atmosphere of tolerance”. The participants of the group, among whom were history teachers and professors, staff of scientific institutions, methodologists from different parts of Ukraine, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the methods of work of one of the world's leading centers for studying and teaching the history of the Holocaust.

“Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies resumes international scientific and pedagogical seminars live! On June 16-17, Warsaw (Poland) hosted a scientific and pedagogical seminar on the Holocaust history for Ukrainian educators and scientists, during which they had guided tours of thematic museums, discussions, and an exchange of views with Polish colleagues.

Seminar participants visited POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews – one of the most modern museums in the world, which impresses with its interactivity. The excursion to the Museum of the Warsaw Uprising made a special impression on Ukrainian teachers.

On May 3, the annual scientific and practical online conference “Zaporizhzhia Jewish readings-2023” was held, organized by “Tkuma” Institute and the Zaporizhzhia National University with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The dean of the Faculty of History of ZNU, Dr. Olga Maklyuk, Professor of the Department of Political Science and Law of the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University Volodymyr Orlyanskyi, Dr. Igor Shchupak addressed the participants of the event with welcoming words.

On May 3, the historical webinar “Middle Eastern Node” and Russian aggression: Israel, Iran, Turkey, the South Caucasus and Arab world in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the rise of new regional and global conflicts was held. The invited speaker of the online event was Prof. Zeev Khanin is an Israeli political scientist, sociologist and historian, professor at Bar-Ilan University, scientific director of the Institute of Eurasian Jewish Studies. In 2009–2022, he held the position of Chief Scientific Expert and Deputy Director General for Research of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration of Israel.

On April 26, the plenary session of the ІІІ All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Professional Position: Opinions, Arguments, Facts” organized by the Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi Kirovohrad Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education was held. Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to participate in the scientific event.
