PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On August 14, an educational event of “Tkuma” Institute was held, organized within the framework of the project “Holocaust studies in Ukraine for the formation the atmosphere of tolerance”. The seminar, conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak, took place in the format of an open dialogue in the “Women's Club” under the leadership of Oksana Lebedeva.

The seminar participants not only listened to the lecture, but also actively participated in the discussion, which created a lively intellectual and friendly atmosphere. Initially, it was planned to focus on the history of the Holocaust in the context of other genocides, particularly the modern genocide of Russia against Ukraine. However, due to numerous questions from the audience, the seminar expanded and covered the topics of methods of studying history, analysis of school textbooks, and the history of interethnic relations. Dr. Shchupak noted that the format of live communication turned out to be much more effective than the online format and emphasized that such meetings contribute to a deeper understanding of historical processes.
We would like to remind you that the Tkuma Institute continues to accept applications for conducting pedagogical seminars and educational classes on the history of the Holocaust.
