PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On October 25, on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Dnipropetrovsk from Nazi occupation, “Tkuma” Institute organized online presentation of the book “HOLOCAUST IN DNIPROPETROVSK REGION. DOCUMENTS AND EVIDENCE”.

The language of sources – documents and personal testimonies – highlights the peculiarities of the occupation regime in Dnipropetrovsk region and the stages of the Nazi genocide of Jews, reflects the main trends in the memorialization of the Holocaust tragedy in the period after World War II. Much of the material was first introduced into scientific circulation.

The authors of the book took part in the presentation:

- Zoryana Bondar, Historian, Librarian of “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”;

- Yehor Vradii, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Deputy Director for Research at “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”;

- Valentyn Rybalka, Head of the -Exhibition and Publishing Department of the Municipal Institution “Museum of Holodomor Resistance” of the Dnipro City Council;

- Igor Shchupak, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Director of “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, Honored Educator of Ukraine.
