PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

Dear colleagues, we would like to invite you to watch!

On June 14, the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbien, organization “Sing for Hope”, with the support of the International Music Foundation “Lang Lang” presented a project “We Are Here: A Celebration of Resilience, Resistance and Hope” – a special concert event dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 77th anniversary of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. Among the participants of the program were, in particular, famous actors and singers such as: Mayim Bialik, Renée Fleming, Adrien Brody, Whoopi Goldberg, Billy Joel, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Lang Lang, Joyce DiDonato, Lea Salonga, Lauren Ambrose and other stellar figures.

In addition to the speeches, the program of the event included welcoming speeches of Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York and Interviews with the “Who will write our history” filmmakers, dedicated to the underground group “Oneg Shabbat” (Ringelblum Archive), which chronicled the Warsaw Ghetto. 

The event was broadcast by more than 135 organizations around the world, in Ukraine – “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies did that.
