On December 23, lecture devoted to Hanukkah history and traditions was held at Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” video. It is a historic holiday that symbolizes light and will, the struggle for independence and hope – all that is very relevant for Ukraine.

Tetiana Seliutina, Museum’s researcher shared interesting facts about the history of Hanukkah, told about the features and traditions of the celebration. At the end of the lecture, Hanukkah candles were lit, and guests had the opportunity to eat the donuts – a traditional Hanukkah food.

“Tetiana Seliutina held a very informative lecture; everyone is happy because they received some light and warmth, – noted Dr. Igor Shchupak. – about Hellenistic and Jewish culture relationships, traditions and modernity we will talk later, in particular – during Dniprovsky Historical Clubs lectures. Hag Hanukkah Sameach! Happy Hanukkah! Wish you all the best !”.
