PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On June 27, Vadim Sidur (outstanding sculptor, graphic artist, painter, and poet) commemorative evening was held at the Museum of Ukrainian Arts, together with Vadim Sidur School of Modern Arts and Design and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. 

Grigorii Gelfer, head of the Art council under the Dnipro mayor, head of the International Charitable Foundation "Cultural capital", Volodymyr Platonov, writer, researcher of V. Sidur biography and ordinary citizens who are indifferent to the outstanding figure work, the native of our city were present at the commemorative evening. Dr. Yehor Vradii, deputy head on scientific work presented Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. Liudmyla Tverska, honored worker of culture of Ukraine, director of Vadim Sidur School of Modern Arts and Design became the chief organizer and coordinator of this evening.

Presentation of V. Sidur selected graphic works reproductions album, given by Prof. Carl Eimmeracher, the German scientist, Slavist, was also held during the evening. The publication of the album became possible due to the support of the project "Cultural capital". More information about the album is available at the Holocaust Museum.

In the hall where the evening was held, pictures of Vadim Sidur were hung up, as well as photoreproduction of his works. A part of copies for a temporary exhibition was given to the Holocaust Museum for their own funds.

Thus, all interested persons had an opportunity to get acquainted with Vadim Sidur works more detailed - author of over 500 sculptures, 1000 prints, paintings and other works that make up a whole era in the art of the second half of 20th century.
