PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On July 3, 2018 representatives of Ukrainian, Polish, Jewish and Crimean Tatar youth joined the grant opening the International Inter-Religious Youth Seminar “The Ark-2018”. “Tkuma” Institute in cooperation with partners conducts this seminar from 2000s. This year the seminar has taken place at Center for peace and unity of the Roman Catholic monastery in Bilshivtsi – village between Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.

As usual, the seminar started with “integration meetings and trainings” and the opening with partners –

Katarzyna Sołek, Deputy General Consul of the Republic of Poland in Lviv,

Alim Aliev, Program Director of the Crimean House,

- Prof. Oleh Turiy, Prorector of Ukrainian Catholic University, director of Institute of Church History,

Oksana Guz, director of Hnat Khotkevych City Palace of Culture, and others.

The audience was also welcomed by father Marian Melnychuk, deputy abbot of the Roman Catholic Church. Speech was made by Joseph Zisels, known dissident and public figure. Dr. Igor Shchupak conducted educational session “World War II and the Holocaust memory and “the war of memories”.

The seminar participants will then join the days of national presentations and visit to Poland.
