PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On October 12, 2016 press-center “Mist-Dnipro” hosted press conference devoted to the ceremonial events on the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy organized in the Dnipro and mass shootings of Jews of Dnipropetrovsk.

The press-conference was joined by Natalya Ponomarchuk, musical director, Honored Artist of Ukraine; Vyacheslav Smotkin, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine, director of the Israeli Cultural Center in Dnipro; Dr. Igor Shchupak. “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” Director.

During the press-conference it was announced that on October 13 at 19:00 Academic Symphony Orchestra commemorative concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy would be conducted. Guests will listen to musical works by Dmitri Shostakovich and Ernest Bloch performed by the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Dnipro led by Honored Artist of Ukraine Natalya Ponomarchuk.

Before the concert there will be presentation of mobile exhibition of “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, dedicated to the Holocaust and Babyn Yar tragedy.
