"Tkuma" Institute has experience in organization and conduction of educational events for school and university students, school teachers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, regional institutes of advanced teacher training, "Tkuma" Institute organized special system of seminars for improvement of teachers' skills.
"Tkuma" Institute has unique experience in creating textbooks. School History textbooks created by "Tkuma" Institute won All-Ukrainian State Contests and were released in hundreds of thousands of copies.
"Tkuma" Institute effectively cooperates with regional office of Junior Academy of Sciences. On the base of "Tkuma" Institute winter and summer sessions of JAS are conducted. During this events school students have an opportunity to work with the Holocaust museum holdings, consult the Institute and Museum research associates and meet famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

On May 19-20, 2015 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” in cooperation with Zhytomyr Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training and Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University conducted All-Ukrainian Seminar for History Teachers and Methodologists “Innovational Technologies in Teaching World War II and the Holocaust History”. The event gathered about 50 teachers, methodologists, school heads and scholars from different regions of Ukraine.
During the seminar participants had an opportunity to listen to the reports by Prof. Kostyantyn Bakhanov on technological approach to history teaching at schools, and Prof. Igor Smagin on innovational aspects of modern Ukrainian History textbooks. Oleg Rudyi, teacher from Khmelnytsky, presented his experience of using multimedia e-books on the Holocaust history lessons, while Maryana Shpak, “Michael Marmer Museum” Research Associate, shared her ideas on how to deep the interest on pupils to the topic of World War II and the Holocaust via museum exhibitions. Oleksandra Bykova from Kirovograd described her own methods of using visual sources in educational process. Natalya Rudnytska, professor of Zhytomyr University, told about how the Holocaust history is researched by Zhytomyr pupils and students. The University is planning to deepen Jewish Studies and attract more students. And it is worth to be mentioned that these promises resulted in creation of special new course “History of Jews in Ukraine” that will be opened for all those interested History Department students in new school year. In its turn “Tkuma” Institute supported this initiative by donating large number of scholarly literature on Jewish istory to the University.

Oksana Andriychuk: “Lecture by Oleg Rudyi, who demonstrated different approaches and opportunities to use multimedia manuals in history lessons, showed the features of how to attract children to learning historical material via new technical opportunities … With great pleasure I listened to the reports by other teachers and practitioners who shared with us their experience and learned some new techniques in working with multimedia”.
Taisiya Verzhanska: “It was extremely interesting. For me as a young specialist the experience of teachers presented during the seminar as well as its practical application will be a model for developing my own lesson”.
Simultaneously with the seminar, on May 20, Ievgeniia Salamakha and Denys Shatalov, “Tkuma” Institute employees, organized mobile educational exhibitions for pupils of 9-11 grades of Gymnasium # 23 and Lyceum # 25. Schoolchildren were told about two tragedies of 20 c. – the Holocaust and the Armenian Genocide. Denys Shatalov noted: “I hope that after these exhibitions pupils started to think what price humanity is paying for the inability to be tolerant to Others”.

On March 25, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training (DRIATT) held a regional exhibition-presentation "Pedagogical Achievements of Dnipropetrovsk Region Teachers – 2015". The event was attended by 987 educational institutions from 13 cities and 22 districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. The purpose of the event is distribution and introduction of innovative achievements of teachers of Dnipropetrovsk region.
Within the program meeting of heads of district and city methodical association of teachers of history and social sciences was held. At the invitation DRIATT Dr. Igor Shchupak, Director of "Tkuma" Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine", and Irina Piskariova, "Tkuma" Institute and Museum Head of Educational Programs, participated in the event.
Invited historians shared their experiences in the application of modern methods of teaching the lessons of history. In particular Igor Shchupak presented multimedia version of World History textbook for the 11th form pupils and caused a lively debate among educators. The participants noted that the current project is interesting for the younger generation.
Also Dr. Shchupak presented textbook "World History" for pupils of 7th form. Scientific and practical approach to learning the material suggests the reference to multiple historical versions. Such method of presentation teaches pupils to form their own opinions and establish logical connections between events and facts.
The meeting ended with informal communication with teachers, during which teachers find out more about introduction of multimedia educational programs and "Tkuma" Institute educational programs.

On February 20-22, the Annual Open Tournament “Dnipro Open”, conducted by NGO “New Vision” since 2009, was held in Dnipropetrovsk. “Tkuma” Institute has been supporting debate tournament for pupils and students three years in a row, so the opening event traditionally took place at the “Menorah” Center in the “Sinai” concert hall. Here the first debate workshops and guided tours around Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” for tutors and debaters took place.

World War II and the Holocaust". The presentation of "Tkuma" Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine" activities was held.
