PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On December 17, 2015 regular seminar organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training, was conducted for teachers of Dnipropetrovsk secondary schools.

Within the framework of the seminar Dilfuza Hlushchenko, head of Research Department, conducted the guided tour at Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” for teachers. She drew attention of teachers to the educational function of the Holocaust Museum, which has long and successful experience of conducting museum lessons and other educational activities.

After the guided tour, Dr Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum director, conducted lecture and discussion. He spoke about the peculiarities of teaching history under the conditions of today’s war against Ukraine and presented new history textbooks for pupils of the 7th and 11th grades. The seminar ended with informal communication of teachers with the lecturer.
