PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On May 9-11, 2016 in Vilnius on the base of World Jewish Congress International Yiddish Center the seminar “Pearls of Yiddish Culture” was conducted. Ukrainian teachers and educators as well as “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Educational Department staff became the participants of the seminar.

On April 27–29, 2016 Kyiv hosted All-Ukrainian Scholarly-Practical Seminar “Creative Work, Methodological Developments, Author Training Manuals and Their Use in the Teaching WWII and the Holocaust History” for teachers organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Ukrainian Institute of National Memory under the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The seminar lasted three days and focused on wide range of questions related to World War II and the Holocaust history as well as implementation of new ideas and approaches in teaching these topics.

On April 18, 2016 Mykolayiv hosted methodological seminar for teachers organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” in cooperation with Mykolayiv Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training. Dilfuza Hlushchenko, the Holocaust Museum Head of Research Department, and Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Head of Educational Department, told teachers about peculiarities of teaching World War II and the Holocaust history teaching and presented multimedia version of the textbook on this topic developed by Dr. Igor Shchupak.

On April 14, 2016 on the base of Zaporizhzhya National University pedagogical seminar for History teachers was organized and conducted by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” in cooperation with Zaporizhzhya Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training.

On April 4, 2016 “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum director Dr. Igor Shchupak conducted special seminar for tutors of “Beit Chana” International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute entitled “Algorithmization of Intellectual Activity”.
