January 25, 2018 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed school students of specialized school #144 with in-depth study of Hebrew, the history of the Jewish people, Jewish traditions. Educational session, dedicated to International Holocaust Remembrance Day was held including thematic guided tour on the Catastrophe history by Dr. Iegor Vradii, Head of Research and Museum Department.

On January 12, Dnipro Regional Institute for Holocaust Studies hosted regional Olympiad on History for senior school students - young historians of Dnipropetrovsk region.

Students' works were checked by members of a respectable jury, among them there were – Liudmyla Bazylevska, Prof. Serhii Svitlenko, Dr. Ihor Shakrtaichuk, Dr. Valeriia Lavrenko, Dr. Pavlo Chornobai, Dr. Yurii Chyrva, creative teachers Zhanna Babenko, Olena Tkach, Albina Bielianinova, Volodymyr Romazan anf others. Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to participate in the Olympiad as the main expert .

The tasks offered to the participants of the third stage of the All-Ukrainian Historical Olympiad were prepared in accordance with the requirements of the curricula on the history of Ukraine and world history and aimed at revealing in-depth knowledge and understanding of a number of decisive historical events, phenomena, processes.

 

On December 10, 2017 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed winter session for school students – participants of Dnipro Department of Junior Academy of Sciences. Lecturers of the Historical Faculty of the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University conducted consultations for young researchers, who will soon defend their first research work on history, including the Holocaust and World War Ii history. School students also joined the guided tour through the Holocaust Museum.

On November 26, 2017 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed thematic guided tour, dedicated to the history of Holocaust and Holodomor for Petrykivka Secondary school students.

On November 21, 2017, 6-grade students of secondary school №147 of Dnipro visited “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. Tetiana Seliutina, “Tkuma” Institute educator, conducted a tour for school students, paying their attention to the peculiarities of the traditions, culture and everyday life of the Jewish people. Iryna Piskariova, Educational Programs Coordinator, and her assistant Mykola Bulanyi conducted an interactive training devoted to the education of tolerance. They talked about the common and distinctive features of peoples who have long lived in the Ukrainian lands, the importance of being tolerant to other people.
