PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On April 5, 2016 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed pupils of the 10th grade of Zaporizhzhya Lyceum #99. The museum lesson was organized on the initiative of Lyceum History teacher Natalya Diordiyeva. The idea was supported by “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum.

The visit was to deepen students’ knowledge on the history of Nazism, Nazi dictatorship and its consequences for Europe. That is why Dilfuza Hlushchenko and Dr. Iegor Vradiy, The Holocaust Museum research associates, focused on the exhibitions describing emergence of Nazi ideology and its anti-Semitic orientation. Pupils were particularly interested in the hall dedicated to the history of establishment and functioning of the youth organization “Hitler Youth”.

Guests from Zaporizhzhya also visited the exhibition “Ukrainian World War II”, which has recently been opened at the Holocaust Museum.
