PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

"Tkuma" Institute has experience in organization and conduction of educational events for school and university students, school teachers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, regional institutes of advanced teacher training, "Tkuma" Institute organized special system of seminars for improvement of teachers' skills.

"Tkuma" Institute has unique experience in creating textbooks. School History textbooks created by "Tkuma" Institute won All-Ukrainian State Contests and were released in hundreds of thousands of copies.

"Tkuma" Institute effectively cooperates with regional office of Junior Academy of Sciences. On the base of "Tkuma" Institute winter and summer sessions of JAS are conducted. During this events school students have an opportunity to work with the Holocaust museum holdings, consult the Institute and Museum research associates and meet famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars.

On March 14-15, regional and city pedagogical seminars on history teaching of World War II and the Holocaust methodology for history, law teachers and methodologists of the regions was held in Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson. Educational events were held at Odessa academy of continuing education, Kherson state university, and Mykolaiv secondary school № 57.

On March 20, educational seminars of «Tkuma» Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies was held in Khmelnytskyi – in Institute of Postgraduate Education (organizer – Galina Kenz) and in the archives of the city council. History teachers and methodologists of Khmelnytskyi were among the participants of the events.

On March 18, educational event of "Tkuma" Institute within the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held in Vinnytsia. Educational event was held at city methodological center; about 50 history teachers, leaders of methodological associations from the city and region became the participants of the event. Irina Matkovska, history teacher, deputy director on the educational work of Vinnytsia secondary school number 18 made a lot of effort to organize the seminar.

On March 21, educational seminar of "Tkuma" Institute with thesupport of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was held in Poltava. Educational event was held at Poltava regional institute of postgraduate pedagogical education, a lot of effort into organizing of the seminar put Iryna Mishenko, methodologist of the social and humanitarian disciplines department of Poltava regional institute of postgraduate pedagogical education. About 60 teachers of history, leaders of methodological associations and methodologists from the city and region became the participants of the event.

On March 20, at Liubov Legasova, deputy director general for scientific work of National Museum of the history of Ukraine in the Second World War (Kyiv) invitation, Dr. Igor Shchupak held a seminar for history teachers. The Holocaust and other tragedies studying features of the past, positivism in history, and new textbooks – for 6 forms (written together with Iryna Piskariova and Olena Burlaka) and for 11th forms were discussed.
