On March 18, city and regional seminar for teachers, organized by "Tkuma" Institute was held in Dnipro. More than 200 teachers of history and social sciences disciplines, methodologists became participants of educational events.
Dr. Igor Shchupak held the seminars on « New standards, programs and textbooks – and newі / old problems of school historical education ». Among the topics that were considered during interactive lectures were the following: questions of new standards for historical education developing, educational programs, textbooks, new challenges in teaching history at school, motivation for studying history of schoolchildren in secondary schools (in particular, through the students' independent work with multimedia, caricatures and others. satirical content, material on the history of youth subcultures, etc.).
Dr. Igor Shchupak new author's history textbooks presentation– «World History» for school students of 11 forms and «World History. History of Ukraine. Integrated course» (written in co-authorship with Olena Burlaka and Iryna Piskariova) caused a considerable interest among the teachers. And they shared their impressions:
