On May 18 and 21 Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” organized and conducted series of interesting events and activities, dedicated to the International Museum Day. Museum guests joined guided tours through the Holocaust Museum exhibitions including visits to the hall “Clocks that Saw the Past”, master classes on origami and bioplastics, concert of classical music by violin ensemble from Zaporizhzhia classical lyceum, concert of classical music ensemble of students of M. Glinka Dnipro Academy of Music, vocal studio ICC “The Best” and klezmer ensemble of JCC “Solomonika”.

May 18 – Day of Remembrance of the deportation of Crimean Tatars. This day 1944 NKVD started forcible eviction of the Crimean Tatars from their homeland, mostly to Uzbekistan. During the deportation 30,000 people were killed. About 200,000 Crimean Tatars became the victims of the resettlement.

On May 8-9, 2017 Ukrainian Catholic University hosted workshop, organized by the program “Jewish Studies” of Ukrainian Catholic University and Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the support of Nadav Foundation. This was the second workshop in a series of activities designed to improve communication between the Ukrainian researchers working on Jewish history and the creation of joint academic community.

April 28, 2016 Dnipro Jewish Community was visited by philanthropist and leader of Jewish revival Leonardo Farkas (Chile - USA) and a delegation of envoys of the Lubavitcher Rebbe led by Rabbi Moshe Kotliarsky.

On April 24, 2017  Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Remembrance and Heroism Day - was marked in Dnopro.
