PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

“Historical Webinars” of “Tkuma” Institute and “Orion” Publishing House are returning! On January 18, an online educational event for history teachers and methodologists “The right to choose: model curricula and new history textbooks for 7th grades” was held. The online event was moderated by Dr. Igor Shchupak.

Speakers of the webinar were Olena Burlaka, history teacher, winner of the All-Ukrainian stage of the “Teacher of the Year – 2016” contest in the “History” nomination, deputy director of the Horodyshche Economic Lyceum of the Horodyshche City Council of the Cherkasy Region, author of history programs and textbooks, Honored Teacher of Ukraine, and Dmytro Sekyrynskyi, specialist of the highest category, a Methodist teacher, a history teacher at the Zaporizhzhia Multidisciplinary Lyceum “Perspektiva”, author of history programs and textbooks.

Among the issues that were brought up for discussion by the participants were, in particular, the following:

- Model educational programs for the 7th grade of NUSH: “classical” and integrated courses;

- A modern view of the Middle Ages: new textbooks for 7th grades.

- Educational and methodological support for teaching history
