PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On May 16, presentation of the next, already 5th collection of students research works “Historical etudes – for the present”, published together with Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and Junior Academy of Sciences within the framework of the project “Holocaust studies in Ukraine for the formation the atmosphere of tolerance” was held at “Tkuma” Institute.

Dr. Natalya Tyaglo and Dr. Svitlana Kayuk, the main Junior Academy of Sciences inspirations in Dnipro, Dr. Volodymyr Katan, director of the Pre-University Preparation Center, Dr. Denys Shatalov, head of “Tkuma” Institute museum's department, chief editor of the collection, Dr. Igor Shchupak made a welcoming speeches. Past years winners – yesterday's schoolchildren, who have already entered the Ukrainian universities and decided to involve the history in their lives, shared their impressions of participating in Junior Academy of Sciences contests and writing the first scientific papers with presenters.

Authors of articles placed in the collection are students, the winners of Junior Academy of Sciences contest. «Office of the Death Machine and George von Basovitz» (Startseva Valeria), «Kryvyi Rih Jewish community on the pages of the regional periodicals of the late 20th – the beginning of the 20th century» (Krasenko Ada), «Formation of tolerance in the perception of one's / another's national in difficult political trials» (Moiseeva Varvara), « School Museum: Soviet traditions, modern features – generations heredity» (Marchenko Kateryna) and other interesting studies – were among the topics selected by young scientists to study.
