On December 19, Dr. Igor Shchupak held a lecture on World War II and the Holocaust history for the students of Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy. The features of the Holocaust in Ukraine, human behavior during the war and the feat of the Righteous among the Nations, contemporary problems of Ukraine, the war in the east and modern propaganda were discussed during the interactive lecture-discussion. Particular attention was paid to the problems of World War II and the Holocaust history memorialization, in particular, analysis of the Soviet-Russian model of memory on “the Great Patriotic War”.

On December 08, winter session for students-members of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the section “History” was held at “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.

During November 27–28, “Tkuma” Institute conducted educational events on the Holocaust history for schoolchildren and students in parallel with All-Ukrainian scientific and practical seminar “New standards, programs, tutorials, and challenges in school history education” in Chernihiv.

During August 27– September 01, youth summer forum, organized by Hillel International Youth Camp was held in Mykolaiv region. About 150 young people from Belarus, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, and Ukraine participated in the event. Traditionally, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” have participated in the implementation of the educational part of the program.

On August 02–04, International Youth Seminar “Confronting Anti-Semitism”, organized with the help of “Drzewo Oliwne” and “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies was held in Warsaw (Poland). Young people from Poland, Ukraine and Belarus became participants of this year seminar.
