PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On January 30, educational lessons dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day у was held at secondary № 128 (Dnipro). Iryna Piskarova, “Tkuma” Institute head of educational department and researcher Dr. Olena Ishchenko held an interactive lecture for high school students.

During the lessons, the Holocaust tragedy in Ukraine and its regional peculiarities, Babyn Yar and Ukrainian Babyn Yars were discussed. Particular attention was paid to different strategies of human behavior during the Holocaust – collaborations, Jews resistance to the Nazi policy of destruction, the feat of the Righteous among the Nations.

At the end of the lessons, the researchers presented educational projects of “Tkuma” Institute on World War II and the Holocaust history, where students can participate in.
