On April 8, on demand of history teacher Natalia Diordieva, “Tkuma” Institute organized an interactive online lesson on the Holocaust history for 10th grade students of Zaporizhzhia Multidisciplinary Lyceum № 99.

On April 14, the webinar “Formation of a culture of memory and organization of interethnic dialogue: educational youth programs in Poland” was organized by “Tkuma” Institute, the Christian community “Drzewo Oliwne” (Poland), the “Orion” Publishing House.

On February 6-7, the final of the second (regional) stage of the all-Ukrainian competition-defense of research works of students of the Dnipro branch of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the discipline “History” took place on the basis of the Dnipro Academy of Continuing Education. Dr. Olena Ishchenko (Section “Historical Local Lore”) and Dr. Igor Shchupak (Section “World History”) were in jury from “Tkuma” Institute. Due to the quarantine, the results were announced online; however, the jury members worked in the auditoriums.

On February 3, Vladyslav Bazylevsky and Valentyn Rybalka, researchers of “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, visited Gymnasium #3 of the Dnipro City Council, where they conducted educational lesson for 11th-graders on the Holocaust history. The lessons were dedicated to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day and were part of the Memory Marathons project.

On December 9 in terms of joint project of “Tkuma” Institute and Yad Vashem “Holocaust studies in Ukraine for the formation the atmosphere of tolerance” together with the NGO “New Vision” during the round table the new educational program “History of the Holocaust and other genocides lessons studies for development of personal values of children by means of debate” was presented.
Olena Zima, Dnipro, executive director of the NGO “New Vision”, Tetyana Remah, Ph.D., Kyiv, Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Oleksandr Shangin, Dnipro, history teacher, member of the NGO “New Vision” discussed the development of this program among youth. It was mentioned that debates contribute critical thinking, effective communication skills and interaction in society.
