PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On October 25, on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Dnipropetrovsk from Nazi occupation, “Tkuma” Institute organized online presentation of the book “HOLOCAUST IN DNIPROPETROVSK REGION. DOCUMENTS AND EVIDENCE”.

On October 19, the annual meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish Committee of Experts on Improving the Content of Textbooks on History and Geography was held online. The following scientists-textbooks authors were the event participants: Natalia Beskova, Prof. Ihor Hyrych, Prof. Vladimir Golovko, Prof. Stanyslav Kulchytsky, Secretary of the Commission Raisa Yevtushenko (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine). “Tkuma” Institute was represented by Dr. Yehor Vradii and Dr. Igor Shchupak.

On October 13, commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Jewish population extermination of our city by the Nazi occupiers took place in Dnipro. The events were co-organized by the Jewish Community of Dnipro, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, “Tkuma” Institute.

During October 07–10, the International conference “Limmud Ukraine” was held in Lviv. Liudmyla Kozina, deputy head on psychological and pedagogical work of “Tkuma” Institute and Dr. Igor Shchupak were invited to participate in a large-scale program as lecturers-presenters.

On October 6, the program “Right to Power. Babyn Yar: they shot US here”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy. Dr. Igor Shchupak was invited to discuss the history and memory of the Babyn Yar tragedy.
