PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On May 8-9, 2017 Ukrainian Catholic University hosted workshop, organized by the program “Jewish Studies” of Ukrainian Catholic University and Hebrew University of Jerusalem under the support of Nadav Foundation. This was the second workshop in a series of activities designed to improve communication between the Ukrainian researchers working on Jewish history and the creation of joint academic community.

The workshop was joined by Dr. Iegor Vradii, “Tkuma” Institute Research Programs Coordinator, and Maryna Strilchuk, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” research associate. They took part in workshops on methods and organization of academic activities in research of Jewish history as well as presented achievements of “Tkuma” Institute for Holocaust Studies and the Holocaust Museum in non-academic activities.

Among the experts of the workshop there were – Yaroslav Hrytsak (Ukrainian Catholic University), Semen Goldin (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Moshe Taube (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Darius Staliunas (Vilnius University), Vitalii Chernoivanenko (Kyiv-Mohyla Academy), Dmytro Tsolin (Ostroh Academy), who shared their experiences on writing academic papers, how to convert theses to a book, how to prepare syllabus, non-academic activities and other areas of the researcher’s work.
