On November 11, 2016 within the framework of the second German-Ukrainian Writers’ Meeting “A Paper Bridge” the guided tour through the exhibitions of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” was conducted.
Among the participants of this year’s meeting there were not only German and Ukrainian writers, but also translators, historians, culture activists: Oksana Zabuzhko, Yuri Andrukhovych, Jan Himmelfarb, Nancy Hunger, Andriy Krasnyashchykh, Dea Loher, Kateryna Mishchenko, Petra Morsbach, Fridolin Schley, Hryhoriy Semenchuk, Natalka Snyadanko, Ernest Wichner, Guido Hausmann, Sergei Zhuk, Katharina Raabe, Victoria Narizhna. The guided tour for the guests was conducted by Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Director, and Dr. Iegor Vradiy, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Head of Museum and Research Department.
After the guided tour the guests joined session of Dniprovsky Historical Club dedicated to the problems of historical memory about the Holocaust and World War II in Ukraine and Germany.

On November 2-6, 2016 in Lviv meeting of participants of Ukrainian-Polish project “The New Ukrainian School” was conducted. The working group deals with development of new State Standards of education Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum director, is a part of this group.

During November 3-6, 2016 Lviv hosted “Limmud” International Conference. For more than 30 years the annual conferences are held around the world gathering from few hundred to a thousand of participants. In 2008 Limmud was for the first time held in Ukraine.

On October 2, 2016 Panel Discussion “Holocaust Remembrance and Public Memorials: the Complexities and Challenges of Facing the Past” was held at UNO Headquarters (New York). Leading Holocaust researchers and scholars from Brazil, Ukraine, Japan, Israel, the USA and South Africa discussed issues of relationship between the memory of the Holocaust, public memory and education in their countries, focusing on educational programs for youth. Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” Director, was invited to make a speech at the event.

During October 25–30, 2016 Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Director, conducted lectures and presentations on Jewish and Holocaust history in Toronto. The events were organized in cooperation with Jewish and Ukrainian NGOs of Canada.
