PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

June 30 and July 1, 2016 within the framework of preparations for the project dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Babyn Yar tragedy, working meeting of UJE (Ukrainian Jewish Encounter) and members of the organizing committee responsible for different areas of program of large-scale events in September 2016 was conducted.

June 30 and July 1, 2016 Dnipro hosted seminar “Implementation of European Standards for National Minorities in Ukraine” for state officials organized by Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine, Assembly of Nationalities of Ukraine, and the Jewish Foundation of Ukraine. Within the framework of the seminar participants visited Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The guided tour was conducted by Dr. Iegor Vradiy, Research Associate. He focused on the history of international relations (including Ukrainian-Jewish) in the 20th c. in particular, during World War II and the Holocaust.

On June 8, 2016 within the framework of the project “See Ukraine with Your Own Eyes” group of Russian activists visited “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The project is organized by Russian Center “The Image of the Future in cooperation with Internews Ukraine.

On May 30, 2016 the opening of Ukraine’s first permanent exhibition “Establishment of the State of Israel” was conducted at Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” (Dnipro).

On May 29, 2016 opening of the exhibition “The History of the City in Stones” and presentation of a unique collection of brick and tile of Katerynoslav of second half of XIX – early XX century, donated to the Museum by local historian and collector Pavlo Mamenko, was conducted at the Holocaust Museum..
