April 28, 2016 Dnipro Jewish Community was visited by philanthropist and leader of Jewish revival Leonardo Farkas (Chile - USA) and a delegation of envoys of the Lubavitcher Rebbe led by Rabbi Moshe Kotliarsky.

Within the visit honored guests met with Chief Rabbi of Dnipro city and region Shmuel Kaminezki, and together with representatives of the community attended the Dnipro city specialized school # 144 focusing on in-depth study of Hebrew, Jewish history and traditions. School children's ensemble performed a potpourri of popular Jewish songs. Israeli cantor chapel “Soul Key” also visited the school and performed soulful song in Hebrew. At the end of the event the school principal Elena Krasnova awarded Mr. Farkas with school honorary medal.

At the end of the visit the guests were invited to Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, where they had the opportunity to see unique exhibits of Jewish history and culture. The guided tour was held by Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum.
