On March 21, 2016 the regular pedagogical seminar for History teachers of Dnipropetrovsk region was organized and conducted by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” in close cooperation with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Advanced Teachers Training.

During January 19-22, 2016 Kryvyi Rih hosted final stage of the regional contest “Teacher of the Year – 2016” in the category “History”.
7 history teachers from Dnipropetrovsk, Dnipropzerzhynsk, Kryvyi Rih, Nikopol and Tomakivsky, Shyrokivsky and Yuryivsky village districts participated in this stage of the Сontest. The Contest was opened by Tetyana Basova, Deputy Head of Department of Education and Science of Kryvyi Rih City Council; Dr. Igor Shchupak, Chairman of the Jury, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” Director; Lyudmyla Bazylevska, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training; members of jury and creative teams from Kryvyi Rih.

On January 26-28, 2016 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies hosted All-Ukrainian Seminar for History Teachers dedicated to International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The event was organized by “Tkuma” Institute and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. The educational seminar gathered secondary schools History teachers and methodologists from different regions of Ukraine. The event became possible due to assistance of and financial support of Conferenceon Jewish Material Claims against Germany and American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.

On December 17, 2015 regular seminar organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies in cooperation with Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Advanced Teacher Training, was conducted for teachers of Dnipropetrovsk secondary schools.

On December 13, 2015 “Tkuma” Institute conducted pedagogical seminar for history teachers who are supervising students of Dnipropetrovsk department of Junior Academy of Science.
Teaching staff got acquainted with innovative approaches to teaching history in secondary school introduced by Dr Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” director. He also presented a new textbook on the history of the Middle Ages for the 7th grade pupils, which caused great interest among teachers.
