PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On March 22, 2018 Odesa hosted pedagogical seminars on the Holocaust history, organized by “Tkuma” Institute in cooperation with partners. Together with the Institute for Teachers’ Improvement, we conducted regional and city seminars for History teachers; the international seminar was initiated by the Jewish agency “Sohnut”. Teachers joined the discussions with Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Educational Programs Coordinator, Dr. Igor Shchupak, Dr. Rimma Aronova, the Beit Chana International Humanitarian Pedagogical Institute rector.

During the seminars participants talked about “rewriting the history” (and why it is taking place), complex historical phenomena and false myths, world wars and quasi-religion “The Great Patriotic War”, the Holodomor, the Holocaust and the Righteous among the Nations, the reflection of history in school textbooks.
