On November 16, 2017, Uman hosted regional seminar on Holocaust history teaching, organized by “Tkuma” Institute in cooperation with Uman State Pedagogical University and State Historical and Architectural Reserve. The teachers of Uman and Uman district took part in educational event.
Iryna Piskariova, “Tkuma” Institute Educational Programs Coordinator, addressed the educators with presentation on methodological alternatives to teaching the history of the Holocaust and the Second World War on the example of the Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”. Valentyn Rybalka, “Tkuma” Institute educator, presented report, devoted to the study of the Holocaust history in the context of other tragedies of the twentieth century.
Teachers of Uman city and district presented their reports on various aspects of the history of Jews in the region and the peculiarities of the “final solution of the Jewish question” on the territory of Uman.
