The International Seminar “The Ark-2021” started on July 14, the participants of which are traditionally representatives of Ukrainian, Jewish, Polish, Crimean Tatar youth from all over Ukraine. During July 14-19, young people from different regions of Ukraine (including the occupied Crimea) will communicate with famous scientists, public and cultural figures, learn to know and understand each other, as well as look for ways to understand each other.

On July 11, an educational visit to Zaporizhzhia as part of the program of the School of Young Guides HistoryLabs was conducted. The participants were given a city tour of the city by the Chairman of the Board of the Novytsky Zaporizhzhia Scientific Society, lecturer at the Faculty of History of Zaporizhzhia National University, Dr. Serhiy Bilivnenko. Together with the historian, future guides got acquainted with the history of Oleksandrivsk, learned about the Jewish past of the city and interfaith relations in the region.

The practical part of the School of Young Guides HistoryLabs continues! Today, the participants of the educational project went on a tour of the Jewish Dnipro together with the famous local historian, author of many books on the history of our city Valentyn Starostin.

The experience of history shows that it is impossible to leave neighbors in trouble - because then their problems become common problems. We reiterate the importance of Germany's intensive dialogue with Ukraine and other eastern neighbors on a common past.
On June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union. A new, bloodiest page of World War II began. From that moment on, the fate of the world depended primarily on what was happening on the Eastern Front. The Soviet Union was able to win at the cost of enormous efforts and human losses of all the peoples who inhabited it.

The practical part of the School of Young Guides HistoryLabs continues successfully! On June 13, our participants, together with Valentyn Rybalka, researcher at Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, went for a walk in Jewish Katerynoslav.
