PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On February 16, the MARATHON OF UNITY for Ukrainian teachers, schoolchildren, students, scientists, organized by “Tkuma” Institute was held. The event is dedicated to the Day of Unity of Ukraine. Participants of the online marathon shared their experience of helping the Armed Forces and those who need protection in such a difficult time for Ukraine.

The Marathon joined:

- Schoolchildren, parents of Khmelnytskyi Secondary School No. 8. From the first days of the war, the school became a shelter for forced migrants from the eastern regions, a workshop for the production of camouflage nets, suits for the Armed Forces;

- Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium No. 114: here students and teachers make trench candles for the Armed Forces, prepare goodies for our soldiers, support families of servicemen;

- Odesa Lyceum No. 35 carries out a great deal of cultural diplomacy, because the historical center of Odesa was included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list in January 2023;

- Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 18 showed how art therapy unites during the war. History teacher Iryna Matkovska noted that modern children of Ukraine are not “children of war” but children of Victory. Their inspiration, hard work, desire for good changes is the key to our victory. Students of the 8th grade showed that their front today is the study of the history of Ukraine. They introduced the participants of the Marathon to their creative work on the history of Ukraine “Glimpse of the past in the future”.

“Tetiana Lanevska, history teacher of the Kupiansk Lyceum No 2 spoke about her students who are abroad and earn donations to help the Armed Forces, – told Dr. Igor Shchupak. – Artem Oganyan, student of the Bezugliv Lyceum of the Nizhyn District, Chernihiv Region, proudly shared the story of his father, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who from the first days of the war stood up for the defense of Ukraine. He evacuated our compatriots from the occupied territories. And now, despite the serious injury, he continues to help the displaced. Students of the Lviv Polygraphic College shared their creative works.

The Ukrainian people are united in the fight against racist aggression, in work, education and creativity. And that is why the Ukrainian people will win. Glory to Ukraine!”
