PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On October 13, 2016 Dnipro Regional Philharmonic Hall hosted commemorative concert dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy and organized by the Israeli Cultural Center in Dnipro, “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”.

Vyacheslav Smotkin, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine, director of the Israeli Cultural Center in Dnipro and Dr. Igor Shchupak. “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” Director addressed the guest with the welcoming speech. The emphasized the need and importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust and Babyn Yar tragedy. Memorial prayer was read by Oleksandr Fridkis, Executive Officer of Dnipro Jewish religious community.

Before the concert guests had an opportunity to review “Tkuma” Institute mobile interactive exhibition dedicated to the Holocaust and Babyn Yar.
