PRESENTATION OF “TKUMA” INSTITUTE PUBLICATIONS  IN COOPERATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE OF UKRAINE

On August 28, 2017 Dnipro hosted methodological meeting for History teachers of Dnipro city that gathered more than 100 participants. Welcoming speech was made by Mykhailo Epik, methodologist of History and Law of Dnipro Methodological Center, and Serhii Svitlenko, Dean of the Faculty of History of Oles Honchar Dnipro National University.

Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum, addressed participants with the report “New Curriculum on History: Modern Approaches and Old Problems”. He spoke about the educational programs of “Tkuma” Institute and its partners, about the Holocaust studies and other topical issues of history. Participants also discussed the issue of new curriculums and history textbooks, as well as the challenges faced by teachers of history.
