On September 16, 2017 within the framework of the 24th Lviv Book Forum “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies presented several editions, dedicated to the history of World War II and the Holocaust in Ukraine and Europe. Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum Director, Dr. Iegor Vradii, Head of Museum Research Department, Anna Medvedovska, executive editor of “Tkuma” Institute Scholarly Journal participated in the event, moderated by Ukrainian journalist, public activist, historian and translator Andrii Pavlyshyn and Dr. Igor Shchupak.

On September 12, 2017 the course of lectures “Jews and Ukrainians: a Millennium of Co-Existence” by Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern is completed. During the 8 interactive lectures, the participants were getting acquainted with Jewish history, learned new interesting facts about Ukrainian-Jewish relations in the early modern and new times, learned to analyze sources and raise questions.
During the closing of the course, the participants received official certificates.

From September 04-13, 2017 the course of lectures “Jews and Ukrainians: a Millennium of Co-Existence” is being conducted at “Tkuma” Institute, The lectures are delivered by Yohanan Petrovsky-Shtern, Professor of Jewish History in History Department at Northwestern University (Chicago, USA). The course consisted of 8 lectures and gathered students and post-graduate students, teachers, educators and public figures, who had been preliminary registered and selected.

In September 1, 2017 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed famous public figure and Executive Director of League of Ukrainian Canadians Orest Steciw. He had just returned from the Eastern Ukraine, where he provided humanitarian help to Ukrainian fighters. In Dnipro he met Dr. Igor Shchupak, “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum director. They talked about events on the front line, and about history as a field for “hybrid war” against Ukraine.

On September 3, 2017 “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies and Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” welcomed distinguished guests from the Ukrainian communities of the United States - Oleksandr Moskal and Illia Zahariuk (Portland) accompanied by Vadym Zakrevskyi (Kyiv), Ruslan Moroz from the Dnipro city executive committee, Natalka and Pavlo Khazan (Dnipro).
