On October 4, 2018 Academician D. Yavornytsky Memorial House-Museum hosted opening of the exhibition “Andrey Sheptytsky: Philanthropist, Businessman, Leader of the Church and Nation”. The exhibition was presented by the directors of the museums, whose funds were used for its creation – Malyts Orest, director of the Lviv Museum of History of Religion, and Father Sevastyan Dmytrukh, director of the Museum of Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky. They told about the figure of the Metropolitan, about his importance not only for Lviv and Galicia, but for the whole of Ukraine.
Yana Tymoshenko, head of Academician D. Yavornytsky Memorial House-Museum, described the idea of the exhibition and its importance. Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” highlighted the importance of preserving and spreading the memory of the Metropolitan.
The exhibition will be opened till December 10, 2018.
