Review

The monograph is devoted to the mass extermination of the Jewish population on the territory of Ukraine in 1941-1944. During these years several administrative-territorial units, namely Reichskommissariat Ukraine, Transnistria Governorate General, District “Galicia” (as part of the Governorate General) existed in the Ukrainian lands along with the territory controlled by the German military administration, the Romanian and Hungarian authorities. These units included 13 modern regions of Ukraine (Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhya, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Kherson regions) and the city of Kyiv. The book reflects the events that took place within these territorial units.

Using archival sources from different countries authors examine and recreate the tragic picture of those years in detail. Many of these documents are introduced into scientific discourse for the first time. Translation and adaptation of documents into Russian is by the authors.
