On November 29, 2020, as part of the meeting of the Movie Club of Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine”, a meeting was held with Tatiana Kondrashevskaya – director, screenwriter of the feature film “Red Necklace”. The plot of the film is based on the real history of a Ukrainian rural family from Zaporizhzhia during the Holodomor of 1932-1933.

On November 9, people mark the International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism. It was established in 1995 at the initiative of the UNITED International Network Against Racism, which brings together more than 500 organizations from 49 countries and operates independently of political parties and governments.

On September 29, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance of Babyn Yar victims. On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Babyn Yar tragedy the Final of XVII Creative Works Contest “Lessons of War and Holocaust – Lessons of Tolerance” has started. It was organized by “Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

On September 24, National round table, dedicated to the Ukrainian pantheon of national heroes was held at Odesa National Scientific Library at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. Together with the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Olekandr Tkachenko the event was coordinated by Oles Donii – famous journalist and public figure, and Ivan Patryli͡ak – doctor of historical sciences, dean of the faculty of history at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Dear colleagues! “|Tkuma” Ukrainian Institute for Holocaust Studies, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” together with partners – the Kurultay of the Crimean Tatar people, the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance, “Orion” Ukrainian Educational Publishing Center – held a historical webinar “Deportation of the Crimean Tatar people and ethnic communities of Crimea: Soviet crime that has a sequel”, dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people.
