On December 04, 2017 the 4th meeting “Authentic places of remembrance of the Holocaust and of places of resistance between 1933 and 1945 with an educational and pedagogical dimension” of the Council of Europe working group took place in Strasbourg, organized by the Steering Committee for Educational Policy and Practice (CDPPE). Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of “Tkuma” Institute and the Holocaust Museum, was invited to participate in the event.

I spoke about the dissonance and harmonization of the national memory of the World War II and the Holocaust (in some countries) – noted Igor Shchupak – and the Jewish memory about the Holocaust; about the Holocaust symbols in Europe and Ukraine; about the savior of the Jews (Righteous Among the Nations) - the only positive aspect of the tragedy. Spoke about the unique experience of Ukraine in the Holocaust studies, about the cooperation of the Tkuma Institute, the Dnipro Holocaust Museum with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.”
