On October 12, 2017, Museum “Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine” hosted an unusual event – Musical and Literary Salon “The History with Two Pianos” – and the presentation of the German piano of the early twentieth century, which was donated to the Museum by the Khazan family.

Pavlo Khazan, Regional Council Deputy, and Pavlo Pollul, Head of the Information Center of the Holocaust Museum, told visitors fascinating stories about musical instruments that became part of the Museum’s exposition dedicated to Jewish music. During the event, organizers announced contest for the best-written story dedicated to the fate of the presented piano and the best ideas will be published the Institute “Tkuma” publications and the newspaper “Shabat Shalom”.

We sincerely thank the Khazan family for the piano donated and for all those unique exhibits that have already become part of our Museum.
