On October 15, 2017 Museum "Jewish Memory and Holocaust in Ukraine" in Dnipro hosted the Holocaust Commemorative Ceremony. The ceremony, conducted by Dr. Iegor Vradii, Head of Museum Reserach Department, was attended by school students from Kropyvnytsky, leaders and activists of Dnipro Jewish Community, general public.

The audience was addressed by Viacheslav Smotkin, the Second Secretary of Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, director of Israeli Cultural Center in Dnipro; Dr. Igor Shchupak, director of "Tkuma" Institute and the Holocaust Museum; Anatolii Pleskachevskyi, director of charitable fund "Hesed Menachem"; Dr. Oleh Repan, Associate Professor of Department of History of Ukraine at Dnipro National University, representative of Dnipro Development Agency; Oleh Rostovtsev, City Council Advisor for Nationalities and Relations with Religious Communities, the head of the press service of the Dnipro Jewish community. Memorial Prayer was read by Oleksandr Fridkis, representative of Jewish religious community of Dnipro. Each speaker lit a candle in memory of 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust. The ceremony was finished with a minute of silence.
